Here is the Chocolate Milk Ghost. He now lives with my friend J.J. in Nebraska. J.J. gave me a whole bunch of cool old buttons. Some of them became C.M.G.'s eyes. C.M.G. is the spirit that comes out of your glass of chocolate milk when there is only one sip left. He is a close relative of Timmy the Ghost. As a matter of fact, the original C.M.G. was just a pattern test while I was making Timmy, but I decided he looked good in Chocolate, so he got his very own milk patch.

This is Mustachioed Sprite. He lives with Hillary now. I'll just copy the email I wrote to her in case you wanna read what he is all about.
Mustachioed Sprite was originally going to be named Button Butt. haha. He was to be the thing that held all the buttons. (I sent Hillary a bunch of buttons) I was going to sew them all on his backside. Then I was trying to decide if I should attach them all with one thread or seperarely. Then I was worried you might not want to take them off to use them so I was going to attach a pouch on him to put the buttons in instead, but then the name Button Butt didn't seem right. All the while this was supposed to be an exercise in piping for me but that failed miserably so I just ended up giving him a fur back which worked out just fine. Anyway, if I can get around to A Month Of Softies this month, I have my personal challenge - piping! So I ended up gathering way more buttons for you than fit in the original pouch so I just made a different pouch and kept it seperate. Mustachioed Sprite in the end has nothing to do with buttons! One more thing about M.S. - I have been in love with that flower shape since my "Christmas" vacation because there was a kiddie pool with these little inflatable flowers in that shape that were just so cute! Now I am envisioning lots of things in that shape and Mustachioed Sprite was the first thing to come of it. Well I guess this wasn't so much a story but the re-telling of the evolution of my process. Hope you found it remotely interesting. |
There are some other little friends on their way to meet some other people as we speak. I can't wait until they arrive!
